Fees
Fees vary depending on the type of service we provide and how you choose to work
with us.
-
One-to-one telephone and email consulting, training and coaching rates are
currently $95 US per hour; group conference call rates are slightly higher.
-
Face-to-face consulting and training rates currently range from $95-$125 US per
hour within northern California; additional costs will be added for travel to
other areas. There is no extra fee for normal fax, phone, email, copies,
materials or travel time.
We will work with you to determine the most effective way to help you reach your
goals, at the most reasonable cost. We can draft work plans and budgets based on
hourly or flat project fees.
How To Fund Your Work With Us
Funders use many different names for this work, including capacity building,
management assistance, technical assistance, consulting, coaching, planning,
organizational development, organizational effectiveness, staff development,
leadership development and training.
Here are some of the ways organizations pay for our services:
Apply for a grant
-
A private, community or corporate foundation, especially if you have received a
program or operating grant from them previously.
- Your local United Way, even if you aren’t an official Agency Member.
- Your professional association.
- A government agency with whom you have a grant or a contract (i.e., the State
Office of AIDS Services).
- A management assistance provider such as a local volunteer center or non-profit
resource center, or a national provider such as the
Environmental Support Center.
Search the Philanthropic Capacity-Building Resources Database for potential funders in your area.
You may also hire us to conduct a computerized search of over 78,000 funders for
$199 for a statewide search, or $299 for a nationwide search for funders of
consulting and training. Visit www.FundingSearch.com
for more information.
Ask for a designated donation
- Ask board members to make a special gift.
- Ask a loyal donor to make a gift directly to your organization, or perhaps
through their local community foundation or financial services fund (i.e.,
Schwab, Fidelity, etc.).
- Have board members or a key donor create a matching gift or challenge fund to
encourage other gifts.
Self-fund
- From your current operating budget.
- Allocate it as a loan from your operating reserves.
- Put it into next year’s training, board, or operating budget. (We'll
wait for you!)
If you commit to work with us on a project, we will help you, at no charge,
prepare a work plan and budget for your proposal to a foundation, board or
individual donor. Please contact us at 707-823-2927 or
nonprofit1@aol.com
to talk further.
